누비질 (Nuvigil)
Armodafinil (Nuvigil)은 eugeroic modafinil (Provigil)의 거울상 순수 화합물이다. 라세미 모다피닐의 (R)-(-)- 거울상 이성질체로만 구성된다. Armodafinil은 제약회사 Cephalon에서 생산하고 있으며 2007년 6월 미국 FDA의 승인을 받았다. armodafinil은 modafinil보다 반감기가 길기 때문에 과도한 주간 졸음이 있는 환자의 각성 개선에 더 효과적일 수 있다.
Armodafinil은 현재 폐쇄성 수면 무호흡증, 기면증 및 교대 근무 장애와 관련된 과도한 주간 졸음을 치료하기 위해 FDA 승인을 받았다. 주의력 결핍 과잉 행동 장애 , 만성 피로 증후군 및 주요 우울 장애 를 치료하기 위해 일반적으로 오프 라벨로 사용되며 양극성 장애의 보조 치료제로 용도가 변경되었다. 항공 교통 관제사의 경계를 개선하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 미국에서는 Provigil (Modafinil) 및 Nuvigil (Armodafinil)과 같은 수면 예방 약물이 FAA에서 민간 관제사 또는 조종사용으로 승인되지 않았다.
